Today was such a perfect day.  I had to work, but I will not complain because I worked hard and got a lot accomplished.  I have almost completed closing out the bank's taxes for 2010.  It is a lot of work, and I do not have a lot of time to do it.  I felt pretty good about what I finished today.

I came home to happy baby girl and hubby (who learned 2 new songs on his guitar this morning).  I took the baby and we listed to him sing to us.  He is really getting good.  I'm impressed with his natural ability to play.  After all, this is the first guitar he's ever owned and he's only had it since Christmas.  He can play like five songs already.

I washed the baby's laundry and towels, fixed a big pot of chili and even got to take a nap.

My next project is to settle upon a place to take Jesse for his 30th birthday.  I can't believe we are getting so old.  I will be 29 this year.  Unbelievable!  His birthday is the 20th of February.  The 21st is President's day and the 22nd is my regular day off.  I will have a four day weekend!!  We are for sure going to Pigeon Forge.  I just need to figure out where we're going to sleep.  I prefer a place with a great breakfast and 2 bedrooms.  I really don't want to sleep in the same room as the baby.  Every move she makes wakes me up.  I like waking up only when she really needs me.  So, if I had to choose.  I would pick the 2 bedrooms over the great breakfast.  Any suggestions?

  1. I don't have any suggestions (not with a great breakfast package), but I love the idea of sleeping separate from baby girl. :) Stan and I did that from the first week ours came home and it was one of the best decisions of our lives. Seriously. I tried having her in the same room with us for maybe three nights and woke up every time she sighed.

Hope you find the perfect place for your special weekend.

  2. Jaquelyn slept in her bassinet in our room for the first 2 months. After I went back to work, I couldn't have her in the room. I wasn't getting any sleep. Moving her to the crib was the best decision. When she was hungry, we knew it..lol
